Contemporary China Studies Review

Call for Contributors

Sinomedia International Group, a publisher and distributor of China-related books, is pleased to announce the Contemporary China Studies Review for publication in Spring 2015. The Review seeks submissions from those at the level of Ph.D. candidate and above. Submissions by independent scholars are also welcomed if accompanied by c.v.

This new publication features a unique combination of original scholarship, book reviews, critical essays, and commentary on all aspects of contemporary issues relating to China including Economics and Business, Government and Politics, Domestic and Foreign Policy, International Relations, and Society and Culture. The Review will also feature new work in emerging disciplines such as technology and new media. Publication will be in May and November.

The Review will present new and exciting scholarship and viewpoints in identifying significant issues on the China scene, as well as offering suggested pathways for partial solutions to some of China’s most pressing societal and economic concerns in the coming years. The target audience for this volume will consist of academic, business, government and non-government agencies, as well as anyone with an interest in China and its ever-increasing role on the world’s stage.

We are seeking approximately 5-8 contributors for each issue who are willing to prepare essays or book reviews ranging from 3,000 – 10,000 words on any aspect of China, East Asia, U.S.-China relations and comparative studies in business, economics, international politics, government operations, mass media, history, technology or other social science discipline as it relates to China and Asia.
