Westerners discussing business might spend time in board rooms, trade shows, over meals at restaurants, on the golf course, and occasionally at a ball game, but if you want to do business with the Chinese, you’ll need to learn more about their culture. Chinese acrobats are among the top genres of traditional Chinese entertainment, and admired among business people from Beijing to Hong Kong. Attending a Chinese circus where the professional acrobats are performing is a good start, and you don’t have to go to China to do it.

The pictures and Youtubes in this blog were taken from the 2012 Arts International Event at Francis Marion University (Florence, South Carolina). While the Chinese weren’t the only ones performing, they did offer two hours (one session at 11:30am, and another at 3pm) of entertainment, acrobat style. A large audience was in attendance while four professionally trained agile bodies bounced, stretched, juggles, flipped, and balanced their way around the main stage floor at Smith University Center Gym.
